Non-Partisan Presidential Candidates
Table of State Ballot Access
Election Day: November 06, 2012

There are no national ballots for the offices of President/Vice President. For that matter, there are no national ballots for any public office. President/V P is the only public office on ballots nationwide in every state. However, ballot access must be obtained state by state. Ballot access for this office is obtained according to 50 different sets of state election law. Presidents are elected in fifty state elections, not in a national election. Presidential candidates are on state ballots with votes cast locally in voting precincts in every state across the country. In a majority of states the winner of the popular vote takes all the electoral college votes in the state. Candidates listed here must potentially be on ballots in enough states to win the electoral college in order to have any chance to win the Presidency.

2012 Presidential Election: To see the Non-Partisan candidates for President/Vice President who will be on your state ballot, also refer to your State IVA web pages, …/index72.html, "Non-Partisan  Candidates on Your Ballot."

For each presidential election year, this page will track the number of state ballots each non-partisan Presidential candidate pair will appear upon in the November general election. The list of states for each Presidential pair will be updated frequently during the Presidential election year. The number of states where ballot access has been achieved will be shown in alphabetical order using two-letter ZIP Code names in the third column.
