ELECTION DAY: November 06, 2018 RICH STEVENSON CANDIDATE FOR KY 3 U.S. Congress Equal Political Speech U.S. Amendment |
Balanced Budget Amendment Steve Chabot, OH1 Career Incumbent Congressperson , Said, "Most of what goes on in this town [Washington DC] involves taking and spending other people's money. That's what we do here in Congress; that's what the President and the bureaucrats do; and that's certainly what the legions of high priced lobbyists devote their energies to."Rich

Equal Political Speech U.S.
Amendment
----------------------------------------------- John's Money: From the above I see that a Republican Congressman, Steve Chabot OH1, appears to understand the problem. Rep. Chabot's 2000 campaign had about $1,000,000.00 from various lobbyist or PAC related contributions. Do contributors influence John Yarmuth and Steve Chabot? We both know the common sense answer is yes. There is the appearance of influence on every vote that favors campaign donors. In 2008 and 2010 the money was up to the nearly $2,000,000 level for Steve Chabot. 2018 will be no different. Our KY03 incumbent Congressman? Rich: I understand the problem. I support the Balanced Budget Amendment as a top priority to control excessive spending. I support a Presidential line item veto. I am a fiscal conservative. I disagree with the two major parties over what the spending priorities should be in Congress. The only effective budget will be supported by campaign finance reform, that will limit political contributions and in-kind expenditures to support from voters who can vote for the candidate who receives the contribution. Can't vote, can't contribute. Only human citizens can vote, not special interests. No corporation or union could make any contribution to any political campaign. We can end bribes that corrupt Congress. Equal Political Speech U.S. Amendment The less than $1000 I spent on my 2000 OH01 Congressional campaign was entirely from voters in OH01. I will not owe any favors to special interests or lobbyists due to campaign contributions. All of my 2018 campaign money will come from individual citizens, populist voters. During the 2000 campaign, $25 to $27 were the largest contributions. My 2018 campaign will also accept only voter campaign contributions. I have contributions of $180 already. I hope to get 100,000 $1.00 micro payment contributions on PayPal from voters to raise $90,000 net. 20,000 $5 contributions would raise $94,000. Some of that money will be used for print and broadcast ads, and some for mailing postcard flyers to voters. I want to get over 34% of the vote, not just one-percent (1-%) as in the 2000, 2010 and 2012 general elections. In a four candidate election, just 34% of the vote could possibly win the election. With 40%, we could definitely win! I want to represent you in the U.S. Congress. I pledge to make every vote I cast count for you and all of the populist voters of District Three.I will vote for the tightest Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution on the floor of Congress. I will co-sponsor any needed amendment to get it to the floor for a vote. LINE ITEM VETO to CUT SPENDING In addition, to block the lobbyist pork that gets through I will work to attain an unlimited line item veto for the office of President. A two-thirds vote would then be necessary to pass wasteful spending line-items hidden in a good bill and line-item vetoed by the President. No harm would be done to the balance of powers, but restraint would be imposed upon the wild spending habits of Congress, which are often used to pay back campaign contributors with legislative favors that produce little or no public benefit.Do not worry John Yarmuth, when I go to Congress I will restrain spending demanded by the Wall Street Billionaires who controlled the last four Presidetial Administrations. Unlike "Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump," my compassion for the people will be real, for every citizen. Every dollar I vote to spend will benefit every citizen in District Three. (Top of Page)Balanced Budget Amendment: If given the opportunity, I will vote for a reasonably crafted balanced budget Joint Resolution to amend the U.S. Constitution. I will introduce the Joint Resolution if no one else does: "The budget of the United State of America will be balanced for each fiscal year, with the one lone exception of being at war with unfriendly forces operating within the borders of the United States of America," or words to that effect.
