movement. I am one part Nerd & Geek.

Candidate for U.S. Congress: "If not me, who, if not now, when?" I had never thought about standing for public office before December 1999. I could not remain uninvolved while my Ohio District One congressional ballot had only a Democratic candidate and a six year
incumbent Republican candidate on the ballot, which would have given the voters of District One no choice but candidates from the corrupt two-party monopoly.
My name was on every OH1 ballot in November 2000.
Same
Issues in 2000 I was on the ballot along with a
Libertarian Party candidate. (Top

2002
and 2004: Developing Congressional Campaign materials and web
pages for Citizens
for Stevenson. Failed to
get 1,168 valid signatures for 2002. More signatures are needed in 2004; 1695 signatures by March 1, 2004. Will pay my
$85 to be on the ballot as a write-in. Some thought was given to filing suit to
extend the time to file signatures in Ohio for independent Congressional
candidates. Legal precedent would be set for independent
Congressional candidates to have until
August (same as President) to get valid signatures. More time would get many more nonpartisan
candidates on the Ohio ballot so the nonpartisan 80% voter majority would have
candidates on the ballot to represent their public policy interests. The people
would have ballot access, real ballot access.
2006
and 2008:
Decided to stand for Congress in 2006 just one week after election day, November
2, 2004. We failed to get on the 2006 ballot, not even as a write-in. There was
not any opposition candidate in 2006. The 2008 petitions deadline was in March again, March 2008.
No petition campaign was possible with that early deadline, so
Rich was a write-in again, not shown on the ballot. We did have a 2008 opposition independent candidate
to vote for to replace 14 year career incumbent Steve Chabot.
Chabot was finally
defeated but only by the career Democratic incumbent. Anti-incumbent campaign
speeches by Rich and the Libertarian candidate helped to defeat a 14 year career
incumbent, but unfortunately only with an 8 year Democratic career incumbent. A minor
victory!
2010:
I started to edit the campaign materials
and web pages for the 2010 campaign in Fall 2008. I had almost decided to not continue
to campaign
in 2008 and was unsure if I wanted to campaign in 2010 unless there was considerable support and a campaign manager in place by the Fall
of 2009. I would have loved to file suit in 2009 to win an August
filing date for all independent Ohio Congressional candidates. Rich seeks support
to file that suit. If filed in Federal Court, the suit would
win. There is overwhelming precedent for a winning suit. Money is needed
to file the suit. Contribute if you can. Inquiries welcome. I was endorsed in
2010 to
campaign as a Green Party candidate. My name was on
every OH1 ballot in November 2010.
For
the 2010 results, see the http://cs2pr.us/Rich/concession.html
web page, that outlines the demographics of possible victories that could have
been in 2010, and that could be in 2018. Nonpartisans can win. We are a
populist nonpartisan 80% voter majority of age eligible voters.
[Report
VR92],
a 1998 Hamilton County Board of election report is still true today. The same
situation exists in KY! Every State!
2012:
Decided to stand for Congress again for 2012 after some indecision. I will be 71
years young in January 2013. But only 70 when sworn in on January 03, 2013. We
must try. Nonpartisans need to develop winning
political campaigns. I try each campaign cycle. A template of Rich's campaign is available at no cost to other
nonpartisan candidates for any public office, including all of the 535
Congressional seats. The template campaign is a gift to other nonpartisan
candidates so we can have clean political campaigns and clean government. You
will have the chance to vote for Rich again in 2016. My name
was on
every OH1 ballot in November 2012.
Rich's
2012 campaign web pages were published in February 2011. That election year was begun early to have most of 2011 and 2012 to work on our campaign.
For the first time, Yahoo
Groups, You Tube, Twitter, and Face Book links were an active part of the
2012 campaign. We started early
to represent you in OH1. We had the early start needed by nonpartisan independent
candidates. Vote for Rich. You win.
2014: Moved
back to Louisville, Kentucky, my birthplace, in 2013. I will be 72 years of age
in January 2014. I could not legally be a candidate for 2014. I am looking
for a very good candidate to win the next OH1 election in 2014. I will be
available as a campaign manager for a very good candidate. I came back to
Louisville to be with my extended family and my son's family.
2016: I
have published campaign pages
http://cs2pr.us/Rich and the 2016 THRO pages
http://cs2pr.us/THRO to be on the ballot in 2016 for U.S.
Congress in Kentucky Three, Jefferson County (Louisville), KY. I was not
able to get 400 valid signatures by the August 2016 filing deadline. May try
again in 2018.
2018: I
have published campaign pages
http://cs2pr.us/Rich and the 2018 THRO pages
http://cs2pr.us/THRO to be on the ballot in 2018 for U.S.
Congress in Kentucky Three, Jefferson County (Louisville), KY. I will
explore for supporters of my campaign. I will be 76 years of age in
January 2018. I know how to run a campaign now and have a reasonable chance
to do well or even win the election. I will use the campaign to work toward
the ratification of an "Equal Political Speech" Amendment, and a
Congressional Term Limits Amendemnt, to the U.S.
Constitution I am also working on the renewed
Glass-Steagal Act of 2019 (The Financial Security Act of 2019). Your $1.00 contribution is
needed to challenge the career establishment Neoliberal Democratic incumbent.
He supports his party, not the 99.999%.The
Occupy Movement
has grown into a Populist wave that nearly won the Democratic Primary
election for independent Sen. Bernie Sanders and that did elect a right wing
Populist President, the first Populist since Teddy and Franklin Roosevelt
back in the first half of the 20th Century. Unfortunately Wall Street still owns our corrupt
Congress, and apparently our new President, who has failed to fulfill his
Populist campaign rhetoric. He has done nothing to correct the extreme
income inequality and frustration that got him elected. The booming stock
market is the only accomplishment of the Trump White House, which ignores
the needs of the 99.999% and his base. We need basic financial changes that
will be accomplished by separation of the financial and commercial banks
under the new Glass-Steagal Act of 2019. Elect Rich and other centrist
independents who recognise the basic problems generated by giving control of
government to Wall Street billionaires. Occupy Congressional elections to
fire incumbent D's and R's. We can get our country back for the 99%.
Entrepreneurial free enterprise can thrive on Main Street while maintaining
stable growth without the high risk speculation that interrupts growth. We
can return to the "happy days" of the 1950s.

Your
Voice: We need to speak aloud the whispers we speak in private. The "two corrupt parties" are words frequently spoken among friends and family in private. People who do not benefit from the "two corrupt parties" openly acknowledge the existence of corruption in the parties that run our lives. I want
clean government that serves you, all of our people, and me. I feel a duty to the people of District
Three to stand for
public office to work for clean government. As I said above, "If not me,
who? If not now, when?"
