ELECTION DAY: NOVEMBER 06, 2012 RICH STEVENSON Biography Page: (Dates with Highlights) CANDIDATE FOR OH 1 U.S. CONGRESS MOVE TO AMEND THE U.S. CONSTITUTION |

Like many of us, I am a full-blooded All-American Heinz 57 mutt. Like most mutts, I am even tempered and lovable. I am partially descended from native Americans, Apache and Cuyahoga Iroquois. My lifelong goal, derived from native American traditions, has been to further freedom and a more democratic republic for all U.S. citizens. That was my childhood dream and remains my dream to this day. I was also descended from Scottish, English, and Irish traditions of liberty and democracy. These political waters run deep in my American soul. |
|
I am a fiscal conservative and a social moderate: Liberty and justice for all in our democratic republic is my main issue and goal as a citizen. I will promote liberty and justice for all in any office of public trust I hold. Yes, I do believe in justice for every citizen. I will work toward a balanced budget amendment to keep spending within revenues. Any actual surplus left, after Social Security and Medicare are made sustainable for our children, will be used to pay down the debt and not for middle or upper income tax relief. Democracy was born in England, known as the "nation of shopkeepers," in the Middle Ages. The middle class produced by that society distributed wealth and power so evenly that the birth of democracy and representative government became inevitable there. In contrast, I believe democracy and representative government cannot exist anywhere in a nation of rich and poor with little or no middle class. I believe we are drifting toward a society with a very weak middle class. I have come to believe we are in danger of losing the benefits of our constitution and the Declaration of Independence due in no small measure to the widening gap between the rich and the poor in our beloved country. Public Policy Goals: My central public policy goal will be to strengthen the middle class to safeguard our democratic republic. To save our dear democratic republic we need to find ways to make the net worth of our citizens more nearly equal. We need to build the wealth of our shrinking middle class. |

I Pledge to be Self Term-Limited to Two Terms in Office: Four Years RICH STEVENSON, dist1oh@cs2pr.us ----------------------------------------------- To preserve freedom and our democratic republic we must elect new people to public office, as often as possible, and with as many newly elected private citizens as possible. Elect "Rich." You win. We all win. Rich is on your ballot for OH District One Representative to the U.S. Congress on November 06, 2012. Your non-partisan voice will be heard in the U.S. Congress. We all win if you apply term limits in the voting booth to all incumbent public office holders. Career politicians do harm to our dreams of freedom and a democratic republic. As the years pass, incumbent politicians serve only their political party and other special interests that support their personal political ambitions. Biography Page: (Dates with Highlights) Town
