ELECTION DAY: NOVEMBER 05, 2002

JACK GARGAN

CANDIDATE FOR FL 5 US CONGRESS

Town Hall Politics

Early Voter Teams

DIRECT GRASSROOTS DEMOCRACY: The purpose of early voting teams is very simple. Ask for the vote of every District One voter who decides to vote early or to vote by a mail-in absentee ballot. Absentee voters will cast over 10% of the total votes cast under Ohio's new absentee voter law that will again be in effect in 2002! We will personally ask for a vote for Jack from every voter who comes to the Board of Elections in Butler and Hamilton Counties to vote early. And we will get mailing labels from the Board of Elections in Butler and Hamilton Counties to mail a quarter page "Vote for Jack" flyer to each absentee voter each day as address labels become available for about 30 days in the "more than" one month before Election Day. We will make as sure as possible that each voter gets a "Vote for Jack" flyer and point out a few of the non-partisan independent issues on the flyer to those we get to see in person. Less than 5% of the vote will determine the winners of most three-way elections.

The "Vote for Jack" postcard files we will use are:

cs2pr.us/pdf/4fly2.pdf (Four per page), and

cs2pr.us/pdf/PostCardAddr.pdf, the address side.

Early Voter Team Structure: *

Ten Members Per County Team

Absentee Team Leader: One Member. Picks up or sees that daily address labels are picked up from the Board of Elections every day for 30 days. Makes sure post cards, stamps and labels are available each day for the daily absentee voter mailing party. Can delegate tasks. Can we feed the troops? Or break bread somewhere for enjoyment with the team? Up to three hours each day worked.

Three Absentee Team Members:  Mails post cards after we apply address labels and stamps for the day's supply of absentee address labels picked up from each Board of Elections. The Dalton Street Post Office is central and processes all the mail in Hamilton County. Butler County Post Office to be determined. Your ideas are welcome. About one to three hours each day worked (about 30 days total).

Six Early Voter Members:  Share the task of giving "Vote for Jack" flyers to early voters in line at the Boards of Election in each county. Cover as thoroughly as possible. Involve more people if needed. Early voting takes place at only one Board of Election location in each county. Need to verify for 2002.

Butler County: Download and print the PDFs. Make 5,000 postcards to mail to absentee voters in Butler County District One. Work thirty days prior to the November 05, 2002 Election Day.

Hamilton County: Download and print the PDFs. Make 15,000 postcards to mail to absentee voters in Hamilton County District One. Work thirty days prior to the November 05, 2002 Election Day. (Top of Page)

Four of each ten votes Cast can win in a three-way Election

85% of all district one registered voters are not supporters of the two bipartisan political parties. 85% self-identify as "non-partisan independents." Non-partisans are somewhat less likely to vote. Still, a majority of voters are not active supporters of the two bipartisan political parties. We will give voters a new choice, a non-partisan independent everyone can support. The Democratic and Republican congressional candidates are unlikely to contact all the actual voters who vote early, but they will send several pieces of campaign literature to the absentee voter list. We will send one well timed postcard. We can win this election.

We Can Win: We will ask each voter to vote for a non-partisan independent like themselves. We are competing with an unpopular bipartisan Congress. We can win with just 4 out of every 10 votes cast. Participate, and you will see that truth in action. You can help send a non-partisan independent to Congress to represent all of the people in District One.

Over 10% of the Total Vote: Each absentee voter team needs to consider this new development in Ohio voting patterns. About 10% or more of Ohio votes in the future will be cast early or by mail, not on Election Day at the polls. Less than 5% of the vote determines the winners of most three-way elections.

Absentee votes provide both an opportunity and a challenge to all independent and minor party political campaigns. The Citizens for Gargan campaign will meet this challenge by forming an Early Voter Team in each county to be active for 30 days in the two months prior to the November 05, 2002 election day.

The teams will assure that we ask for the vote of every early and absentee voter who actually votes. Ten team members should be able to handle the task in each county, one team in Butler County and one team in Hamilton County. Would you be interested in working on a team to complete this important campaign task?

We can win.

Getting the required number of campaign participants is the most necessary step to put a District One Non-Partisan Independent in the US Congress to represent the people of OH District One. From a little personal effort we can win a very important Congressional election.

I Pledge to be Self Term-Limited to Three Terms in Office: Six Years

JACK GARGAN, jack@cs2pr.us ( active Email) (Top of Page)

-----------------------------------------------

To preserve fragile freedom and our democratic republic we must elect new people to public office, as often as possible, and with as many newly elected private citizens as possible.

When elected, Jack will work night and day for a more democratic republic. Vote for "Jack." You win. Jack will be on your ballot for FL District Five Representative to the US Congress in November 2002.

Elect non-partisan independent candidates on your ballot. We all win if you apply term limits in the voting booth to all Incumbent public office holders. Career politicians do harm to our dreams of freedom and a democratic republic. As the years pass, career politicians serve only their political party and other special interests that support their personal political ambitions.
