ELECTION DAY: November 06, 2012 RICH STEVENSON CANDIDATE FOR OH 1 US CONGRESS |
|
Gerrymandering Excerpt from The Overdue Voter Revolution, a pamphlet written by RICH STEVENSON.Electors = Voters Ideological differences between D’s & R’s have all but disappeared. The drive for money has transformed our political parties into powerful opponents of political freedom. However, D’s & R’s are still distinctive in the minds of most likely voters. Each likely voter has just one choice between one D ("liberal") or one R ("conservative") candidate on his/her ballot. In that situation actual voters will vote their ideological needs even if the incumbent party keeps on running the same incumbent for a lifetime. What choice? Political parties control the behavior of incumbents who want to be on the ballot or seek higher office in future elections. D’s & R’s, under DNC & RNC 5 control, erect a wall between electors and open competitive elections. Our votes do not count. One of the "two-party monopoly" candidates routinely wins the primary and the general election. Each selected winner follows orders dictated by their party. A
vote for the "other Party" can only be a protest vote "against
interest" of any elector. Gerrymandering, begun in 1812, allows D’s &
R’s to divide control of electoral districts between them. They re-draw
boundaries so a decisive majority of voters within each manipulated district are
likely to vote either D or R. With selection of a partisan list of likely voters
in a district, another wall of control is erected. Again, voters 4 are likely to choose one
candidate dictated by the DNC & RNC monopoly. With the out-come of
elections all but pre-determined, why vote? Nearly all elections are fixed.

----------------------------------------------- History: A bipartisan two-party system has fixed more and more elections since 1812, for nearly two hundred years. Blatant corruption of elections began just twenty-five years after the constitutional convention on September17, 1787. Gerrymandering is one of the factors that insure national candidates will be re-elected for nearly as long as they choose to run. Selection of Congressional committee chairs based upon seniority is another. With our present system your vote does not count. I will fight for needed reforms to make your vote count. The same political situation exists on state and local levels. Our votes are routinely devalued by the manipulation of electoral districts innocently called "gerrymandering." This familiar political device has a profound influence on the quality of our lives. Changes are made every ten years based upon the latest census. The monopoly party with majority power re-districts to fix election results to favor their party. To the extent they succeed, our votes lose value. ) |

I Pledge to be Self Term-Limited to Two Terms in Office: Four Years RICH STEVENSON, dist1oh@cs2pr.us ----------------------------------------------- To preserve fragile freedom and our democratic republic we must elect new people to public office, as often as possible, and with as many newly elected private citizens as possible. When elected, Rich will work night and day for a more democratic republic. Vote for "Rich." You win. Rich will be on your ballot for OH District One Representative to the US Congress in November 2012. Elect non-partisan independent candidates on your ballot. We all win if you apply term limits in the voting booth to all Incumbent public office holders. Career politicians do harm to our dreams of freedom and a democratic republic. As the years pass, career politicians serve only their political party and other special interests that support their personal political ambitions. Town
