Reader takes about 15 seconds to download to your hard drive, even on a dial up. Reader is needed to access Adobe Acrobat files linked on this page.

Download the 2002 Petition for Circulation:

DOWNLOAD the PDFs to print and copy: Two files, two sheets. Will create the petitions as soon as the committee signatures are completed.

If you have no legal size paper to print the petition, you can skip that step and just have your copies made at a copy center from the PDF files.

Below is about the 2002 petition campaign. We will have one thousand petition sheet copies on hand to distribute to petition circulators. Each sheet will have 20 spaces, so we will have enough sheets to contain 20,000 signatures. We will need about 1,675 valid signatures. Our goal is to collect 2,800 total signatures, 140 full sheets. With 70% valid we will have 1,960 valid signatures, about 285 more than we need for ballot access. The signatures needed will be about the same number.

We will have 1,000 petition sheets, seven times more than the 140 full sheets needed to have 2,800 total signatures. We could spoil, lose, or otherwise not use up to 860 of those petition sheets and still have enough total signatures. We need enough valid signatures to fill 83 petition sheets plus 15 valid signatures on an 84th sheet. Our 2,800 total signature goal could be done with 140 full sheets with 20 signatures. Take as many as you can possibly use. Take ten copies (200 signature lines). Ten signatures on ten petition sheets is 100 signatures. If 28 petition circulators have ten petition sheets and collect 100 total signatures, we would have the 2,800 signatures needed to meet our total signature goal.

Ten signatures from close friends, neighbors, and family you know to be registered voters is a terrific contribution. Those signatures would have a very high validity rate of 80% or more. A little means a lot for ballot access. Please make a little effort.

When petitions are ready to distribute you can get some. You can drop by to pick up copies. Telephone ahead to 513-251-3155, to drop by or leave your name and phone number. We can meet you in your neighborhood, at a signature gathering event, or you can download the petition, petition rules, quarter page flyer, and campaign message/FL 5 areas quarter page information sheet on the Campaign With Jack web page:

IMPORTANT: Telephone 513-632-7001 or 513-632-7000, Ext 1 for Hamilton County (513-887-3700 for Butler County), to check on your voter registration status. See if you are current. Your voter registration must be current to circulate a ballot access petition. If needed, we can easily get you registered so you can circulate ballot access petitions.

The petition will be completed and copies made this Spring 2007. The five-person committee signed on the petition will have the right to pick my replacement in the campaign or in office if I am unable to campaign or complete my elected term for any reason. Do show your interest to circulate a petition by filling in the e-ONLINE FORM with your email and phone number. You will get hard copies of the petition and email notice of signature gathering events. Collection of signatures will be on a tight schedule. The deadline is May 5, 2008. Your help is much needed to get on the 2008 ballot. Any registered Ohio voter can circulate a petition anywhere in Ohio. For example, if you are a college student living in District One, but are from another area of Ohio, you can circulate a petition even though you are not eligible to vote in District One. Any registered Ohio voter can circulate any ballot access petition for any Ohio candidate or ballot initiative issue in Ohio.

Crank it up. Download the petition rules below. Participate with "PETITION" typed in the comment box. Get petition copies. Circulate a petition. Thanks.

I Pledge to be Self Term-Limited to Three Terms in Office: Six Years

JACK GARGAN, jack@cs2pr.us ( active Email) (Top of Page)

-----------------------------------------------

To preserve fragile freedom and our democratic republic we must elect new people to public office, as often as possible, and with as many newly elected private citizens as possible.

When elected, Jack will work night and day for a more democratic republic. Vote for "Jack." You win. Jack will be on your ballot for FL District Five Representative to the US Congress in November 2002.

Elect non-partisan independent candidates on your ballot. We all win if you apply term limits in the voting booth to all Incumbent public office holders. Career politicians do harm to our dreams of freedom and a democratic republic. As the years pass, career politicians serve only their political party and other special interests that support their personal political ambitions.
