ELECTION DAY: NOVEMBER 05, 2002

JACK GARGAN

CANDIDATE FOR FL 5 US CONGRESS

Valid Signature Count

The total and valid signature counts are very important numbers to track. Getting the required valid signatures for ballot access is the necessary first step in winning a non-partisan independent seat in the US Congress.

As of Date: 04-23-01

0,917 of 2,400*

Total Signature Goal (with 70% valid)

*Based on 70% valid. Time flies. Get it done as early as possible. Could someone step up and go to the board of elections to pre-validate signatures in early 2002? Gargan for Congress Needs a helping hand.

Deadline 05-01-02

Days left to deadline: 12 months

Valid Signatures Required

The Hamilton County Board of Elections officially allows pre-validation of ballot signatures. However, They usually have no staff (none hired) available to pre-validate for non-partisan candidates. Various excuses have included implementation and training on new electronic voting machines, etc., and various. They are Always "too busy." Your help is needed.

Valid signatures required are based on 1% of the votes cast (167,543) in OH District 1 in the 2002 general election for Governor. Three times the 1,675 valid signatures required, "5,026" signatures, is the maximum number of signatures that can be turned in to the Board of Elections. We will quit collecting signatures when we have pre-validated the 1,675 signatures needed, plus a small cushion to insure ballot access. Exactly 60% (1,675) of 2,791 total signatures would be enough to have the valid signatures required. Exactly 70% valid would require 2,393 (2,400) total signatures. Exactly 80% valid would require 2,094 total signatures.

Our 2,400 total signature goal will be more than enough signatures to get Jack on the ballot. The deadline is Monday, May 1, 2002. We need 120 people to get 20 signatures, two full petition sheets, to have 2,400 total signatures. My personal goal is to get 20 to 40 signatures per day every week in the next year, 1,000 to 2,000. I may not have enough time to meet the high number and have time for other campaign activities. We need to have as many people as possible to get 10 to 40 signatures. Too many signatures are not a problem. Too few mean we do not gain ballot access.

Ten signatures from close friends, neighbors, and family you know to be registered voters can be a terrific contribution. Those signatures would have a very high validity rate of 80% or more. A little means a lot to gain ballot access.

Your commitment to circulate petitions to get 10 to 40 signatures is needed. Please help to put Jack on the ballot. Our public policy interests will have a chance to be represented with our candidate in Congress. Help end the bipartisan culture of corruption in Washington DC. Elect a non-partisan independent to Congress. We can have a democratic republic.

Participate. Download or get a petition copy or copies. Download a copy of OH petition circulation rules. Circulate a petition. Check this page each week to see the progress made to put Jack on the ballot. Save this page as a favorite link. Check this page as part of your weekly routine. Thanks for all you do.

JACK GARGAN, jack@cs2pr.us (active Email)

-----------------------------------------------

To preserve fragile freedom and our democratic republic we must elect new people to public office, as often as possible, and with as many newly elected private citizens as possible.

When elected, Jack will work night and day for a more democratic republic. Vote for "Jack." You win. Jack will be on your ballot for FL District Five Representative to the US Congress in November 2002.

Elect non-partisan independent candidates on your ballot. We all win if you apply term limits in the voting booth to all Incumbent public office holders. Career politicians do harm to our dreams of freedom and a democratic republic. As the years pass, career politicians serve only their political party and other special interests that support their personal political ambitions.
