Independent Voters Alliance (IVA) Our Voices: A New Social Paradigm No Choice Primaries: KYKY U.S. Senate, R Incumbent since 1986, 34 Years; Paid forby Outside Wall Street Money. The Democrat Too! Boring!Open Ballot Access and Equal Political SpeechBy Rich Stevenson © June 24, 2020Interim Acting Male Co-Chair of the Jefferson County KYIVA
To actually win, Democrats had the perfect candidate to defeat Mitch McConnell. It was not Amy. It was Mike Broihier, who could have won against the Red State Republican favorite, Mitch. How about a family farmer, small town journalist, and retired Marine Corps Colonel, Mike Broihier. KY has 120 counties, three of which are roughly urban, and one truly urban and racially diverse. The rest are mostly rural and mildly racist, and white. We are Proud of military service and gun ownership. A retired marine corps officer, perfect! A family farmer, perfect! A down home news man, perfect! A communicator, perfect! Overall, a perfect KY candidate. The Democrats like to lose, so they chose Amy, a semi-Republican. There was another good fund-raiser candidate, an urban man from Louisville. A city slicker. Also, a black man. Politically correct. Fine with me and urban others. So you want to defeat Mitch, really?? There is Louisville, and there is the rest of the state, rural counties. Not cities. Coal miners in the eastern counties. Farmers in all 120 counties. City people in Louisville and Lexington. Mitch in a flannel shirt and bib overalls. A KY winner. Wake up Democratic Party. Down home wins. For over a year before the Primary there had been Wall to Wall Amy McGrath Ads attacking Mitch. Every twenty seconds it seems. The money Primary Election in June 2020 chose Amy, the one already chosen. She is the same type of establishment Wall Street Democrat that has lost to Mitch McConnell since 1986 (34 years, and no new ideas to win). Does the KY Democratic party seriously want to defeat Mitch McConnell, ever? Really? Doing the same thing “over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.” The KY Democratic Party is totally “insane.” Totally. Wall Street sends money to McConnell and to the usual Democratic Wall Street contender. This year it is a woman named Amy. Throw in a little Union money in this “Right to Work State” and you have the anemic Democratic ballot response. Politically correct. Not a winner. A place holder. They can claim “we tried.” Wall Street wins again. There were other really good candidates who were also good Democrats. Amy's war chest made it obvious that a choice was made long before the Primary Election on June 23, 2020. Who in our 120 counties and 1,650,000 Registered Democratic voters had even one vote in that pre-Primary choice. It was done in 2018, way before the Primary Election. Wall Street chose Amy. Wall Street is in New York State. Not KY. Their voice chose Amy. Chosen last year, or earlier? Why wasn't the choice made by the 1.65 million registered Democratic voters? Why did all the money go to Amy and none to the other candidates on the Primary Ballot? No wonder this is a red state. KY people are not allowed to choose Democratic candidates. So naturally, Democratic voters are indifferent. There is also no incentive to register as a Democrat. Democratic voters have no voice in KY. Little wonder voter turnout is extremely low. We need three reforms in KY. Actually, all fifty states need three reforms. Take a look, and come back here: https://cs2pr.us/IVA_Opinion/VoteByMail.html#Reforms . Up to you. Kentucky voters will establish final five open primaries that will be open to every eligible voter in Kentucky. Every voter will have a vote on every primary candidate on the ballot, including every Republican and every Democratic candidate. To have a voice in elections you can do your part in the Kentucky Independent Voters Alliance (KYIVA). Join the team establishing IVA web pages in every KY county. The voter can play a role in our political future. “We must become proactive good citizens.” (Top of Page)
